Live Github Class next Thursday to improve your skills
If Github has ever seemed a bit intimidating to learn how it works on your own; Launch School now has a live Introduction to Github Workshop.
“Covered a lot of great basic info about Github including a few things I haven’t learned yet (even though I’ve been using Git/Github for 6+ months now!)”
And back by popular demand, Launch School is also running the following workshops:
- Problem Solving & Debugging: Learn how to use Launch School’s PEDAC process and other debugging tools to solve small programming problems in both Ruby and JavaScript.
If you were not able to participate last time, we invite you to register for the upcoming workshops:
Tuesday February 21st at 7pm US Eastern
In this workshop Grace will show you how to use Launch School’s PEDAC process to solve small programming problems in JavaScript. You’ll also learn some JavaScript debugging tools and how to read and understand stack traces.
Thursday February 23rd at 6pm US Eastern
In this workshop Clare will introduce you to GitHub. You’ll learn how to setup an account with authentication and how to connect a local repository. You’ll also discover how to upload and download files from Github.
Friday February 24th at 6pm US Eastern
In this workshop Trevor will teach you how to use Launch School’s PEDAC process to solve small programming problems in Ruby. You’ll also learn some Ruby debugging tools and how to read and understand stack traces.
If you’re still unsure about attending a workshop, here’s what some of the attendees have said about the workshop experience:
“Love Launch School’s free Programming Essentials sessions! Really helps learning from live sessions.”
“I want more seminars!”
“I am still extremely new to these concepts and the explanations were so easy to understand and apply to the code.”
“Practical tips, straight to the point. No watered-down pop wisdom philosophy.”
We hope to see you there!
